Graham Oaks Nature Park is a site that we have started flying recently, primarily as a proving ground for new gear. As you can see in the video below, it provides plenty of wide-open space without too many people around, just in case something goes wrong.
This footage was captured by RQCX-3 “Raven,” with her new DJI NAZA flight control system installed. We've also upgraded her video transmitter to the 500mW 5.8 GHz TXV-585 with a matching BluBeam antenna set, all from our friends over at HobbyWireless.com.
So far, the results have been quite good. At one point in the video, I approach a cellular tower with a red beacon on top. The bird is more than 2,300 feet down range at that point, and the video was still crystal clear.
