For the visual learners among us, I pulled together a quick video which pretty much says the all the same stuff as this blog post:
If you're a trusting soul who is good at following directions, simply click on the following link and fill out the survey it brings up in your web browser:
On the other hand, if you're the sort of person who needs a reason for everything you do, keep reading.
For much of the past year, we've been working with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) to help develop a program specifically for the FPV and autonomous flying community. I appreciate that there is still some skepticism out there on this issue, but I can tell you with absolute confidence that the AMA is 100 percent committed to this effort – and now I've got proof...
They are looking for input from YOU, the hobby drone enthusiast, in the form of a survey that will take you 10-15 minutes to complete. So, if you want to play a role in shaping the future of FPV, or you've ever complained that the AMA “just doesn't get it,” now is your chance to tell them what you think. Just follow the link below:
Still need more convincing, eh? Okay, how about this: all of the answers you provide will be completely anonymous and the AMA will only share the aggregate data with the public. Your submission is literally untraceable, even by the AMA itself. They really want to know how you're using this technology – even if it includes occasional paid aerial photography gigs – and they appreciate that's a sensitive issue. Happy? Then take the survey by following the link below:
Are you still here? Hmmmm... Well, maybe you're thinking to yourself, “Sure, I'd love to help the FPV community and usher in a utopian age where drones are used to help save lives and feed the hungry and all that good stuff – but what's in it for me?”
That's a fair question (I guess). Fortunately, I've got an answer for you... A DJI Phantom quadcopter – that's what's in it for you. After you complete the survey, you'll be given the opportunity to type in your e-mail address, which will enter you into a drawing to win this magnificent bird.
And for any of your privacy types that actually made it this far, don't worry: your e-mail address will not be associated with your answers to the survey. It's two separate systems, working side-by-side, but without any direct connections. So, what are you waiting for? Follow the link below and take the survey:
