Isn't that the coolest thing ever? Our stop by Venom batteries made clear why when you're visiting a trade show – at least a trade show for an up-and-coming field like drones where the innovations are coming fast and furious – it's important to stop by every single booth and see what they've got to offer.
I love that little OLED screen on the battery and we've had some opportunities to use it in the field since InterDrone, and it really is useful. One fact we didn't include in the video, because we weren't aware of it, is that when you're charging this battery, it actually gives you a count down to when it's going to be fully charged.
This seems like such a smart innovation, I'm going to suggest to our new friends at Venom that they include these same types of displays on all of their new line of “Drone” batteries – the ones with the detachable balance leads that they are getting ready to roll out – which you also saw in the video. I think that would be amazing.
