Of course, the big news out of InterDrone was DJI's release of the ZenMuse X5, which incorporates a micro four-thirds sensor. Making a considerably smaller splash with what was basically the same news – but arguably superior in some ways – was Yuneec with their CGO4 gimbal:
Like the X5, it incorporates a micro four-thirds sensor, but it's based on the wildly successful and frequently gimbal-mounted Panasonic GH4 and includes an interchangeable zoom lens, as opposed to the fixed lens that comes standard with the X5.
With the $60 million infusion that Yuneec recently received from Intel and its track record for turning in very capable products, it's going to be interesting to see how the rivalry between Yuneec and DJI develops over the months and years ahead.
