Continuing our much-delayed coverage of the Drones Data X Conference in San Francisco, we're hearing from Alta Devices, manufacturer of the most efficient solar cell in the world – which also happens to be extremely lightweight and flexible. This makes it useful for a range of applications, but most relevant among them for this conference: substantially boosting the flying time of fixed-wing UAS by turning the surface of their wings into a power source. Pretty cool!
